Giveaway Winner!

At 8pm (Geneva time) I exported the names of everyone who commented on my 1000 followers giveaway into a spreadsheet. I then hid the names and blindly entered a number for each entry. Finally via Random.org I randomly selected a number.

That number corresponded with Michelle (aka @MichelleAmie) on Twitter!
I’ll be sending an email to this lovely lady tomorrow to organise delivery.

Giveaway Delay

Hello lovely ladies and gents.

I’m supposed to be drawing the winner of the 1000 followers giveaway at 8pm today (UTC/GMT +2 hours) but due to unforeseen occurrences; I’m sorry but I’m going to have to delay it for a couple of days.

I’ve just arrived at an airport hotel in Sydney after having spent 27 hours travelling from our home in Lausanne at the last minute. My husband’s Uncle lost his battle with cancer earlier this week and we’ve come to Sydney for the funeral. So we’re feeling stupidly jet-lagged and trying to deal with the fact we’re going to the funeral of a gorgeous man who has had his life unfairly cut short.

I’m also so discombobulated that I’ve just burst into tears upon discovering that my new L’epetto suede shoes have been permanently damaged by a leaking L’Occitane face-wash. In the grand scheme of things this is a trivial matter, but in my current condition it feels huge.

All of this is a really long and rambling way to say, I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to deal with the Giveaway when I return home. I’ll be back in Switzerland on Monday and so will do the Giveaway on Tuesday at 8pm (UTC/GMT +2 hours).

Today next to nicx has 1,000 of you lovely people
following in some form!!

(Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Bloglovin, Subscribed etc).

At times it’s hard to gauge how you’re doing with a blog. Especially as you’re sitting in a studio alone most of the time. Getting good feedback can be hard.

This is where my other half came in. He’s a numbers man (I’ve nicknamed him Dataman – as he’s able to scale spreadsheets with ease) and he encouraged me to take a really good look at the data. That’s when I discovered just how many of you fabulous people are following next to nicx!

He then told me to expect a congratulatory present.

I thought that was a pretty good idea!

So I decided to give one to one of next to nicx’s lovely followers as a way of thanking you!

Letterpress gift tags & giveaway

One of my friends saw this quote written on a gift tag some time ago and fell in love with it. But was not so in love with the pink puppy dog that was included below the quote. This lead to the request for me to reinterpret it!

As we have oft discussed that when it comes to European wines I am completely obtuse and pick the bottle by how fabulous the label is; I felt it was quite apt and printed off a few extra to attach to bottles I’m unsure of!
